The 777 Game

Author friend Lee Allen Howard tagged me today in a fun 777 game.

Here are the rules:

  1. Go to page 77 of your current work in progress.
  2. Scroll down 7 lines.
  3. Paste the next 7 sentences into your blog.

Then tag 7 more authors to carry forward the 777 game. Add their links, and remember to link to the person who tagged you… (Also, let everyone know on Facebook!)

Here’s 7 lines from page 77 of The Key to Love, since I’m not anywhere near ready to share Double or Nothing yet. Enjoy!

THE KEY TO LOVE – Contemporary Romance Novella

His fingers itched to touch the silkiness of her dress and dark, flowing hair. A wide band of solid gold cuffed her wrist, and looped gold rings dangled from her ears. She looked amazing.

Tongue-tied, Steve stammered a greeting without hearing her answer.

“—hard to walk in this weather in high heels.”

“Um, yeah. Sure.”

One hand on a leather barrel-shaped chair, Jenn had leaned over to slip on her shoes. She raised an arched eyebrow, having caught him staring at her cleavage.

Hey, I didn’t choose the rules — so it’s pretty vague. I can’t even explain much of this scene, except to say if you want to read a lot more you can click this link and plunk down $1.99 – cheaper than a milkshake at McDonald’s or a sandwich at Panera’s. More entertaining, for sure.

Now let’s see… who am I gonna tag?  I think I’ll share the wealth of genres!

S. G. Rogers …. YA fantasy

J. Gunnar Grey …. mystery

Kathleen O’Brien … romance

Kay Springsteen …. Regency

Jacquie Rogers …. western

Lisa Orchard … YA mystery

Scott Johnson …. horror
