Vienna Doorways
Vienna, Austria… I fell in love with the old-world charm of this wonderful city, so chock full of culture and class. What’s not to like (except the expensive lifestyle, I suppose) when you can eat croissants and pastries every day?
The Cafe Central has THE BEST SACHERTORTE!!
If you EVER go to Vienna, look this place up. Not only is it elegant inside, the service is wonderful and the architecture is gorgeous.
Well worth a visit! The bakery has delicious items if you don’t have time to sit and enjoy a piece of sachertorte with fresh whipped cream and delicious coffee or tea.
Expensive, yes, but live a little!

Mackinac Island, MI… Here’s the lovely church on Mackinac Island below…
I love Mackinac Island!
Love the B&B’s, the Grand Hotel, the fort, the street shops, the butterfly house downtown, and I love to bike around the island to see the lake views from different spots. Truly a gem.
Go visit! Even a day trip is worth the ferry ride! You can rent a horse, or a buggy, or bikes to see the sights.
Saugatuck, MI… One of my favorite little villages is near Lake Michigan, full of boutiques and galleries, great restaurants like Ida Red’s. This village has been a favorite summer resort since the late 1800s. The tinier village of Douglas is just across the water and is full of its own quaint shops and galleries.
The Kalamazoo River runs through it, so make sure you get to Oval Beach to see Lake Michigan!
